Publication Policy


In the Mesopotamia Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (M-JIS); original studies such as scientific articles, compilations, translations, reviews, introductory articles and texts from all fields of social sciences are included. Manuscripts submitted to M-JIS must not have been previously published or submitted for publication anywhere. Congress and symposium papers are included in the evaluation process if considered appropriate by the Editorial/Advisory Board. For such papers; the name, place and date of the meeting should be stated.

The languages of M-JIS for publication are Turkish, English, German, French, Arabic, Persian, Kurdish and SyriacIn studies supported by a research institution, the name of the institution and the project, if any, the date and number should be indicated with footnotes. In articles produced from master's and doctoral theses; the thesis advisor, thesis title and thesis type should be indicated with footnotes. The title of the thesis should also be added to the Bibliography. All processes, ranging from the submission of the articles to the publications, are carried out electronically. For all submitted manuscripts; compliance with grammar and spelling rules, clarity and intelligibility has to be obeyed. TDK spelling and writing guidance should be taken into consideration for the whole articles and papers. The author is entirely responsible for the content of the articles. M-JIS holds the right to conduct editorial corrections in the manuscripts submitted for publication and accepted for publication. 

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are first checked through a plagiarism program.
